Biography

An award-winning filmmaker with wide-ranging talents and interests, Marc Pitre has pursued all aspects of motion picture production. As a producer and development executive, he has worked on major feature films in Australia, China, Thailand, Canada, England and Croatia, including The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor, starring Jet Li and Brendan Fraser. As a student, his short film Show and Prove won awards from the Director’s Guild of America and screened in festivals in New York, Los Angeles, New Orleans, Paris, Milan and Martha’s Vineyard. Other creative efforts include producing Super Temps, shot in 3D for DirecTV, Matt & Kim’s music video Cameras and several other web-based, TV and feature projects in development.

Mark also volunteers his time with Young Storytellers Foundation and Reading to Kids.

Currently he is producing and developing Bleeding Sunshine, an important film addressing the poignant topic of human trafficking.
